This online and print journal examines society's attitudes towards and the regulation of psychoactive drugs. It is a proponent of, basically, the right to trip, and to use psychoactives to explore and expand our consciousness. Very interesting from a cultural and legal perspective.

This organization (primarily through its magazine of the same name) takes on commodity fetishist culture, with an emphasis on combatting corporate media and advertising. It exposes and challenges the commodification of all aspects of our lives.

This annual hybrid arts festival, RV show, massive rave, and temporary autonomous zone, demonstrates that there just might be a better way to live - outside the kill-or-be-killed structural imperative of capitalist economic systems and societies. Burning Man is still, to some extent, a DIY society, trying to balance cooperative/communal living with radical free expression, in the middle of a big empty desert, no less. (It's also the best party in the world).

Abrupt.org has a workable and illuminating definition of culture jamming, and some great examples of some of their work. The highlight of the site, though, is definitely the rare re-printing of a poem by former Secretary of State Madeline Albright.

Sniggle.net presents this voluminous and very well-researched history and catalogue of cultural resistance, with everything from theory to art pranks to hacktivism. This culture jammer clearinghouse is full of great links to other culture jamming sites and resources.

Unamerican creates, sells, and gives away a huge selection of stickers which are variously surreal, overtly political, banal, absurd, and often thought-provoking. There can be no doubt that www.unamerican.com is dedicated to fucking shit up. Go to their site to check out their catalogue and download free cards, too!

This is a great site documenting the fascinating McLibel trial in the U.K., as well as hosting lots of other info on McDonalds' shady corporate practices, subverts, and other culture jamming info beyond just that aimed at McDonalds. Slumber, Inc. is a clever, almost minimalist approach to subvertizing. It has done some funny and biting campaigns critiquing commodity fetishism and consumerist culture, including campaigns on breast implants, patriotism, self-improvement books, and suburban buddhism. Cool web site layout.
