| INSTITUTE FOR APPLIED AUTONOMY
This is a great site by a group which designs and builds "contestational robots." These robots (graffitti writers, pamphleteers, anti-surveillance machines, etc.) were developed to meet the needs and budgets of culturally resistant forces. In one exercise, an IAA tele-operated graffitti robot was handed over to random civilians and used to spray paint public streets.

| RECLAIM THE STREETS
Reclaim the Streets started in England in the early 1990s, as a protest against highway construction. It has since spread to North America and elsewhere, as a mode of direct action qua dance party, protest, and public gathering of ravers, environmentalists, anti-auto activitsts, and is a place "where people can gather together without cars, without shopping malls, without permission from the state . . ." Ad hoc liberation and reclaiming of public space.

| THE GLITCH
The Glitch does subverts of recognizable icons of traditional advertising, art, and WWI and WWII era propaganda posters, modified to send a message about the "war on terror." There is also some interesting anecdotal and theoretical content on the site. Some of the subverts are great.

| HYPER-REDUNDANT-MART
Online catalogue selling consumable simulacra, and featuring such products as the Ear Worm, Stone Cold Reality Drink, and the Post-Apocalyptic Barbie. Why buy the product when you can buy the idea?
| |
| WEIRD THING ZONE
This is a brilliant and simple idea, an invitation to radical re-use of public space and communication, and exercise is absurd political action. Start a Weird Thing Zone of your own, at the next boring hyper-commercialized "street faire" in your neighborhood.

| ameriCON
This site has a variety of anti-corporate parody news, real news, links, and other resistance resources. There are some links to Camp Justice (Nebraska) and other native rights information.
| |
| ®ark
®ark is a clearinghouse for culture jamming projects, which are submitted by anyone with an idea, and organized into topical "mutual funds," to which volunteers can invest time, money, or other resources. Lots of links to other cultural resistance websites, as well. More info on thing.net eviction, too!

| NO LOGO
Site related to Naomi Klein's 2000 book No Logo: Taking Aim at the Brand bullies, dealing with lifestyle branding, labour abuses and anti-corporate resistance. This is the "book that became a movement" as the site states. Find information on anti-corporate activities, events, news, and other resources.

| SHUT UP AND SHOP
A wonderful Australian site devoted to graffiti, posters, and installations on the subjects of globalization, income inequality, world hunger and poverty, and other economic justice issues. The site has some great photographs of street graffiti, and a few realtime movies of subvert culture jamming projects.

| CRITICAL MASS
Critical Mass is a global movement opposing car culture and celebrating bicycling. It happens regularly in numerous towns and cities throughout the world, and is a large scale direct action notable for its decentralized and partially leaderless character. The link here is not an "offical" CM site, as there is none, but is one of many good CM resource pages out there.
